Iranians Rank Second in Property Purchases in Turkey in September

Tehran, IRNA – The latest report from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat) indicates that Iranian citizens have claimed the second spot as the largest buyers of properties in Turkey during the month of September.

According to Trade News, TurkStat announced that Iraqis ranked third in terms of buying the most properties in Turkey in September.

As reported by the World of Economy, according to the published statistics, property sales to foreign citizens in Turkey experienced a 23.8% decrease in September compared to the same period last year.

In this month, Turkey sold 5,049 properties to foreign citizens, with Istanbul ranking first, Antalya second, and Mersin third in terms of selling the most properties to foreign citizens.

The mentioned statistics reveal that during the first nine months of the current year, Turkey sold 49,644 properties to foreign citizens, indicating a 32.5% increase in property sales compared to the same period last year.

TurkStat announced that Russians ranked first with the purchase of 1,196 properties, Iranians ranked second with 592 properties, and Iraqis ranked third with the purchase of 433 properties.

German and Kazakh citizens also secured the fourth and fifth spots with the purchase of 225 and 207 properties, respectively.

In August, Iraqi citizens also ranked third as the largest buyers of properties in Turkey with the purchase of 417 properties.

Since 2015, Iraqi citizens have consistently held the top position as the largest property buyers in Turkey, but they were surpassed by Iranian citizens starting in 2021.
